Water jet machine with material recovery

For this well-known manufacturer, we produced a custom machine that is now part of a complete production line.

The manufacturer wanted to cut cellulose discs with as little material loss as possible. Water jet cutting was chosen for this project because it has the advantage of preventing the spread of bacteria. As the cutting heads and the material are never in contact, contamination is impossible. 

To meet the need to lose as little raw material as possible, MÉCANUMÉRIC designed a system of ‘pushers’ that drop the offcuts under the machine, directly into a bin, the contents of which are emptied to produce new rolls of cellulose.

This special machine has been entirely designed in stainless steel and is equipped with 4 high-pressure cutting heads, a soundproof box and a conveyor.
